ACTION SAMPLES [29 Dec 2008|01:19pm] (From Ted Tonks at Pensieve Inferi) WHO Ted and Andromeda WHEN December 23 WHERE Black Manor Ted had the world's worst idea and he was going to do it. He apparated near the large manor and moved silently across the grass. Ted looked mighty funny bent over, walking on his toes. When he got to the house he moved along the outside wall. Which room was Andromeda's? He saw a light on in a window and dared to sneak a peak. He'd need to get higher... Tree. Ted scrambled up a tree the best he could. The branches rustled. A cold woman's voice started calling his name and he froze. He hadn't heard that voice in a while. Then the pale face of Bellatrix popped over a branch. Ted stifled a shot of surprise. He whipped out his wand, ready to hex. Bellatrix was climbing unnaturally well towards him. It was as if she wasn't human. It hit him and he muttered, "Riddikulus!" Bellatrix's hair turned pink. Ted chuckled, weakening the Boggart enough so that he could hit it with a stunning spell. It fell from the tree and scampered away. "Fucking creepy pet..." Ted adjusted himself on the branch he was practically dangling from. He climbed further up the tree and over the balcony outside a few of the upstairs windows. The only light on was a small bedroom and when Ted peeked inside he could guess that it was Andromeda's room. It wasn't as scary as the rest of her family. He tapped on the glass. (Backstory from Alastor Moody) WHO Alastor and a Deatheater WHEN November 23, 1976 WHERE Ministry of Magic, Interrogation Cell The suspect was thin and gaunt. He had the pinched gray look of someone who didn't see much sun and didn't see much nutrition either. His cold gray eyes looked up at the Auror, following him as he paced around the room. Moody was rattled and as young and inexperienced as the deatheater was, he could see it. Alastor placed his hand on the wall and took a deep breath. She had been running an errand to that shop today. She hadn't returned the message he'd sent by patronus. This was past the point of worrying. He could feel it twisting in his gut; a heavy, sharp sickness that was screaming the truth. She was gone. It would be days before they could find the body in that mess. "You going ta' ask me questions or just stand there holding up the wall?" The boy smirked. Yes, a boy. he was nineteen at most. Alastor's head turned only slightly. One eye fell on the boy. He focused on that smirk. Alastor bit his lip and crossed the room, leaning over the chair. "You're going to tell me the names of everyone there today." "I don't sell out my brothers," he sang, "We were doing our duty, cleaning out the mudbloods." Alastor's hands were on his throat before he could think twice. The boy found his feet dangling inches off the ground, his body pinned to the cold stone wall of the cell. He gasped for air enough to laugh. "WHO HELPED YOU?" Alastor demanded. His face filled red, his ears rang. He dropped the boy on the floor, standing over him, now growling more than he was speaking. The boy just kept laughing. He could feel his heart beat in his ears. The sounds of the water dripping in the cell faded, the laughter faded. Everything went silent. Peaceful. Quiet. Moody was sitting in the wooden chair, smoking a cigarette. His knuckles were split open. His face was marred with the deep gash of a fingernail dragged down his cheek. He stopped what he was doing and looked around the room, wondering how he came to be sitting here. His heartbeat was racing. His eyes fell on the boy, now a bloody heap, still on the concrete floor. Footsteps sounded quickly in the hall. The cell door flung open. One of his peers stared at the body and Moody's blood soaked hands. "Jesus Christ Alastor," he gasped. "What did you do?" Moody dropped his cigarette. It lay softly glowing on the wet floor. He didn't cry. He couldn't. "Mariah," he said, barely above a whisper. "It's all over." post comment

JOURNAL SAMPLES [29 Dec 2008|01:17pm] (From Remus Lupin at Pensieve Inferi) Did anyone else see the meteor shower? It was pretty wicked. Private Severus! He's one of those pureblood snobs. I can't ever tell Lily now. He'll get it out of her. He's always watching me, I can tell. And he hangs out with all of those assholes who think that she's somehow beneath them because she's muggleborn. I don't know if I should say something to stop her. It probably won't matter. Bridget wants to have sex sleep with me. We've been spending a lot of time together. The full moon is a week from today. As the moon waxes I feel better and better, more alive. When it's over I always feel drained and torn apart, but right before it-- I don't know if I'm really afraid of it this time. I have to watch my temper and my diet, normally, when I start feeling wolfy but now I've got all these other instincts that prickle. I think I want to have sex sleep with Bridget. I think if she offers, in the moment, when the moon is a waxing gibbous, I won't be in much state to refuse. I really like her. I trust her. She trusts me. post comment
